Petanque, boules is the French version of the Italian game of Bocce.

The 6 boule petanque | bocce ball set is for 2 players.

(Note: In competitive play, 3 boules are used when playing in teams of 2).

At this incredibly low price, sorry we cannot pay the shipping as well.
Order 2 sets and the second can fit in the same box for no extra shipping charge.

  • The petanque | bocce set includes 3 boules each of no grooves ( smooth ) and 1 or 2 and 4 groove patterns, a 30mm (1.2") wooden jack, a simple measuring device, and instructions to play.

  • NOTE: The 1 & 3 option has the 1 groove balls in Gold and the 3 grooves in Silver. Only that combination is sold that way. It is not possible to mix and match the balls to other combinations.
  • A nylon case that is blue (color of case may vary from pictures) with yellow embroidered PLAYABOULE on face. NOTE: Color of case may vary. Light Blue or Dark Blue

  • Chromed steel boules are an average diameter of 73mm and 720gm weight each, within the certified competition boule range.

  • A great petanque set for practice balls, the new player just getting into the game without the huge expense of competition balls, family fun, play at the beach etc.

Note: As the description states these are chrome plated steel balls. If you play on abrasive surfaces like crushed granite or stone chips the balls will of course scratch and mar the finish. Just like the French made competition balls will that are more than $100 dollars for a set of 3!! By the way that $100 does not include a case.

I bought two sets of these years ago and I still use them to this day. Great product.

7/20/10 Steve. I bought two sets (1 & 2 and 3 & 4 patterns) of these boules in the spring of 2010 and I have used them numerous times this year. I am very happy with them. However the plastic dividers of both cases were destroyed in the shipping process and one of the zippers on one of the nylon cases was smashed also, fortunately each case has two zippers. But to repeat the boules themselves are great. "" Editorial Note: I thought that I would send this note along that is on the product page above right under the product images.. "Buy 2 and choose USPS FR Box and the shipping on the second set is free. If you do take this option there is no room to add extra padding. Due to this in some cases the dividers between the balls get broken in transit. Not a problem as they are not really needed and if broken we don't accept claims to replace them." For one set shipped this is never a problem. And if the customer places two separate orders with separate shipping charges then there is not an issue as we can better cushion the individual sets. Most customers don't want to as they prefer to save the $10.50 extra shipping and have 2 inserted into the USPS Flat Rate Box. ""

Gary Cape . Very nice set for the money. We're using them to play on Daytona. Beach. The hard sand makes a n excellent playing surface.

SMUDGEMARTENS 8/14/2010 2:44:23 PM Great introduction set - great price. In the past two weeks I have referred several newbies to Play-A-Boule to purchase their first sets. ***See my review on the 8-ball set for details***
