**External switch** Glo (LED) light up Bocce ball Set
This set weighs almost 12 lbs. So these are NOT cheap light weight balls. They can be crashed together hard without fear of breaking a ball or the electronics.
NOTICE: our products our now being copied but ONLY using our original design V1 type plug and ONLY PLAYABOULE HAS FULL SIZE LIGHTED BOCCE BALLS GUARANTEED. We think this is great as "imitation is the greatest form of flattery!!" But be warned our competitors sets are usually sold in sets of 6 (bocce is NEVER played with 6 balls) are undersized (but their sites never tell you that), don't have complete extra set of batteries or a screw driver ( a $13.00 free value with ours) and don't have spare/replacement parts available.
This is our V2 version of 107mm standard size bocce balls. Per the US Bocce Federation and the International Bocce Federation.
Differences between our lighted Bocce ball Set versions are:
- V1 has the LED that turns on when the plug is screwed in and off by a half turn out. Non Flashing plugs preinstalled. Standard carry bag.
- V2 has the LED that turns of/on with the push of a button on the outside of the plug. The plug is only unscrewed to replace the batteries. Non Flash plugs preinstalled. Standard carry bag.
- V3 Deluxe has a recessed push button external switch AND is water resistant AND does not need the extra plugs because the switch has the function for Flash or Non Flash built in AND no screw driver is required to change the batteries. New design larger size 50mm target ball with V3 plug. Deluxe heavy weight bag with extra pockets and heavy duty zippers.
We do have another smaller (great for kids or smaller hands) and less expensive set (Glo Petanque/Bocce) that is the official size for petanque ball sets 73mm (3 inches dia)
The set sold on this page is the Official Tournament size for bocce ball sets 107mm (4.2 inches dia) Approximately the same size as a Softball.

The balls are made of a high quality, durable hard plastic material, with the Playaboule logo molded in. Because the balls are translucent the LED light can shine through making the balls flash and glow in the dark. They can be easily seen in the dark from more than 100ft away. Simply press the recessed button to turn the light on/off to activate your lighted bocce set.
The balls have a 1 year warranty against breakage or cracking. Corrosion, modifications or foreign material entering the plug enclosure are NOT covered. Batteries are a consumable product and carry no warranty.

Note: Replaceable Alkaline batteries are pre-installed and are included for testing purposes only. A fresh set is also included. Batteries can last for more than 30 hours.
We designed these balls as a solid sphere then drilled and threaded a hole in the side for the LED plug. Being solid, these balls are almost unbreakable.!!! You can crash the balls together without fear of damaging the balls or the LED components.
Great recreational set and perfect for evening play! At the beach, camping, back yard, etc. When the sun goes down don't stop playing, START playing with this glo bocce ball set. These balls weigh approx 600 gms each, about 2/3rds the weight of a competition bocce ball. This is plenty of heft even for the most aggressive player and has the extra advantage that the balls will not drop dead in very soft sand like a regular bocce ball does.
Note: Even though there is a rubber washer to help seal the ball, fine sand and water may still get into the balls. They are NOT sand, grit or water proof.
